The 5th International Conference on Computer Vision Systems aims to gather researchers and developers from academic fields and industries worldwide to share their research results covering all aspects of intelligent vision systems.

CVIU Special Issue on Intelligent Vision Systems

The contributing authors of accepted ICVS papers are cordially invited to submit full paper proposals to the ICVS related special issue on Intelligent Vision Systems. It will be published by Elsevier in the Computer Vision and Image Understanding (CVIU) series. Guest editors are Prof. Monique Thonnat and Prof. Gerhard Sagerer.

Résumé: Best Paper Award & Photo Gallery

ICVS 2007 is over, four successful conference days were conducted from March 21st to 24th. About 150 participants contributed to and enjoyed this scientific event. From the many papers presented, Assisting persons with dementia during handwashing using a partially observable Markov decision process. by Jesse Hoey, Axel von Bertoldi, Pascal Poupart and Alex Mihailidis was chosen for ICVS2007's Best Paper Award.

ICVS2008 announcement

We are glad to announce that the next ICVS in 2008 will take place at the marvellous island of Santorini in Greece from the 12-14th of May 2008. The deadline for paper submission is November, 11th, 2007.
Santorinis spectacular natural beauty along with its eminent nightlife make the island one of Europe's top tourist hotspots. Please have a look on the emerging website at http://www.icvs2008.info for more information.

Update: The DOIs of workshop articles are now available on the programme page, too.

The abstracts and full texts of all ICVS contributions are now available online in the open access eCollection repository of Bielefeld University Library. In order to access each paper, please click on the title of the paper that you are interested in on the programme pages. The Digital Object Identifiers for unique referencing of electronic publications may be retrieved from the eCollection repository page of each contribution.
